We’re Nate and Jeanine Corley, the hearts behind PalicoCoons Cattery and The Breeder’s Circle.
A Journey that Began with Love
Our journey into breeding began, as it does for so many, with a deep and profound love for the Maine Coon breed. We were captivated by their gentle spirit, their intelligence, and their majestic presence. We knew we wanted to be a part of preserving and improving this magnificent breed for future generations.
As relatively new breeders ourselves, we learned a lot the hard way. We navigated the steep learning curve of health genetics, the emotional highs and lows of our first litters, and the immense responsibility that comes with being a guardian of the breed. It was a journey of passion, but it wasn’t always easy.
Our “Why”: Community Over Competition
Through our own challenges, we realized something profound: the breeding world can feel isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. We created The Breeder’s Circle because it’s the resource we wish we’d had when we started. It’s a community built on the philosophy of “community over competition.”
We believe that by sharing our knowledge—both our successes and our hard-won lessons—we can elevate the standard of ethical breeding for everyone. Our goal is to foster a supportive network where breeders can collaborate, ask questions without judgment, and grow together, all for the betterment of the cats we love.
